A clinical research trial of an investigational drug for the treatment of hot flushes is underway at a medical center near you. The study drug does not contain hormones.

If you are a generally healthy woman, at least 6 months past your last menstrual period, and suffering from bothersome hot flushes that disrupt your activities, you may qualify to participate in this research study.

The study will last approximately fourteen months. Participants will visit the physician who is conducting the trial approximately 8 times during the course of the investigation. If you are currently taking oral, implanted, injectable or vaginal hormone therapies, you may not be eligible to participate in this study. Use of antidepressant or antipsychotic drugs, history of seizures, uncontrolled blood pressure or diabetes may also be reasons for exclusion from the study.

Patients who enroll in the study will receive medical exams, lab screening and ECGs and at no cost. Qualified participants may receive study drug and payment for time and travel.
